Step-by-Step Manual

  1. Remove the bottom rack and locate the filter Pull out the bottom dish rack to expose the cylindrical filter assembly at the bottom of the tub, usually near the spray arm.
  2. Twist and remove the filter Turn the upper filter counter-clockwise about a quarter turn and lift it out, then lift the lower mesh filter out from underneath it.
  3. Rinse and scrub the filter Rinse both filter pieces under running water, using a soft brush to remove trapped food particles, grease, and glass shards from the mesh.
  4. Clean the air gap (if your sink has one) Twist off the small chrome cap near your faucet, lift out the inner plastic cap, and clean out any visible debris with a bottle brush. Rinse both pieces before reassembling.
  5. Reinstall the filter Place the lower mesh filter back in first, then the upper filter on top, twisting clockwise until it locks into place.
  6. Run a test cycle Run a normal wash cycle and check that water drains fully at the end with no pooling at the bottom of the tub.
