- Set ladder safely and clear organic debris Position your extension ladder on firm, level ground with a ladder stabilizer. Scoop out all leaves, pine needles, and roof grit around leaking joints.
- Scrape away old brittle sealant Use a stiff wire brush and putty knife to scrape away all cracked, peeling silicone inside the leaking corner miter or seam.
- Degrease and dry the joint Wipe the joint thoroughly with rubbing alcohol on a clean rag and let it air dry completely.
- Apply heavy bead of tripolymer gutter sealant Apply a generous 3/8-inch bead of Geocel 2320 directly over the inside seam, covering 1 inch on both sides of the joint.
- Allow 24-hour cure and water-hose test Let the sealant skin over and cure, then spray water into the gutter with your hose to verify zero drips underneath.
